We are "independent scholars" in the true sense: independent of grants or other outside funding and using our own money, time, and resources to uncover Chicago’s past, illuminate its present, and to help out various worthwhile organizations attempting to do the same.

You won’t receive any tax breaks, t-shirts, or glossy merchandize, but by donating to Brainsnack you assist the cause of learning, not just about Chicago and vicinity, but of all human culture in general. It sounds grandiose, but it’s what we’re about.
Please help us if you can.
